G.I. Joe New Alpha: Emergency Crash Rescue

The G.I. Joe team is not always concentrated on attacking enemy soldiers. Sometimes they turn their attention and impressive set of accessories to actually helping people, as is evidenced in this impressive crash rescue figure. Besides being handsome and possessing the traditional Joe facial expression of steely resolve, he is dressed in thick brown work pants, a fire hat, rubber boots, a blue "Metro F.D." T-shirt and, because he's a fireman, red suspenders to hold his pants up. He's also nicely accessorized with accurate and educational items like a first aid kit, an intubation kit, and a hydraulic cutter that he can hold in his hands. We were impressed by how well the accessories fit with the doll and also with the improved posing ability over the traditionally stiff Joe. It's also heartening to see a product from the usually warlike Joe collection focus on assisting people, instead of shooting them. --Charlie Williams
