I got this for my 2 girls ages 5 and 7.5. They both caught on quickly although the older one has more patience to do it than the younger one. I was surprised and pleased they are able to do it on their own with no assistance.The small size helps for a first project as well.My only complaint is that the canvass is plastic which means you have to keep tightening the wool here and there.It has instructions, a hook, the canvas and wool.
